Finding your Truth & Life purpose with Soul contract

As the new year has arrived - and for some, the lunar new year is soon knocking our door too, it is that time again to ponder on what has transpired and what will serve our highest and best for the next 356 days - and beyond.

Part of it is the seeking of our Truth, not as others determine it, but as what our inner compass points us to.

“Truth is like water to one who thirsts,”

“Truth is the essence of one’s being; the denial of it is to deny self.”

“One who knows their Truth also knows their choices. But in order to know one’s Truth, it is important to have purpose, to have a reason, a goal. If you are striving to prepare a meal, your purpose is to nourish yourself, perhaps, and others. If you are weaving cloth, your intention is that the cloth can be a covering, perhaps to your own body, to the body of another whom you might love, or a covering for some expression of beauty or expression of your spirit’s uniqueness, as the many-fold gay banners which adorn the great wall outside. Truth is the vessel in which your spirit finds shelter. Without Truth, there is no shelter and one can be lost and not be able to know their way.

"Without this, you cannot proceed, for all that follows is dependent upon this knowledge. And the greater disappointment would lie ahead, were you permitted to go beyond and discover that you are unprepared.”

“Your truth may be, for each of you, great or small by your perception. That is of no consequence. For the answer will always be the same. You have the key to open it.

Our life purpose that we're here for is part of that discovery. Yet unfortunately, many are blissfully or frustratingly unaware of it. Are we truly living our life purpose? A question that beckons much contemplation and external observation.

One of the major indications of a misalignment with our Truth and purpose is an inner disconnection - You feel disconnected from your intuition, passions, or inner guidance. There's a sense that your current path doesn’t align with your core values or deeper desires.

Trust that feeling, as your feelings are always valid, for you, at the time of you feeling it, which needs exploration, not denial.

You face also recurrent challenges on your path, where patterns of obstacles or struggles persist in specific areas of your life. You might experience emotional or physical symptoms, like anxiety, depression, or fatigue, as signals from your body and soul.

This may indicate you're resisting a needed change or lesson.

And although unsatisfactoriness is part of the Four Noble Truth of existence, in a misaligned path, you feel a lack of fulfillment a lot more often.

It is a persistent sense of emptiness or dissatisfaction, even when external circumstances seem fine. Or it can be the feeling that success or material achievements don’t bring the joy or meaning you anticipated.

In the process, especially at work, or what takes up most of your time, you often feel unmotivated, procrastinate, or struggle to complete tasks because they feel draining or meaningless. You experience a sense of "pushing uphill" rather than being in flow.

The reason for this whole disconnection and dis-sastisfaction is that, most of us, live for others. We prioritize others' expectations, societal norms, or external validations over our inner truth. We live someone else’s dream rather than our own.

In most cases, it comes from a blurry vision developed through our upbringing, distorting our inner compass. It leads to a lack of clarity or feeling lost about what we truly want to contribute or experience in life. Our goals may feel more like obligations than authentic aspirations.

You may experience some or all of the above at some point in life - that nagging feeling.

And you can make a choice to either suppress it, or distract yourself with short term pleasures. Or you may choose to follow your nudge and discover your Truth.

To reconnect with Your Truth and Life Purpose, you can try these few things:

  1. Reflect Deeply:

    • Meditate, journal, or explore practices like soul contracts to understand your higher purpose.

  2. Reconnect with Joy:

    • Engage in activities that naturally excite or energize you; they often hold clues to your true calling.

  3. Seek Guidance:

    • Consult with spiritual tools like Soul contract, esoteric astrology, Gene keys, akashic records, or intuitive guides for clarity.

  4. Align with Values:

    • Reassess your core values and ensure your choices reflect them.

  5. Take Courageous Steps:

    • Start making small changes toward what feels more authentic, even if it requires stepping out of your comfort zone.

The Soul Contract System and Life Purpose

The soul contract system posits that before birth, your soul works with spiritual guides to create a "contract" that outlines the lessons, challenges, and missions you’re here to fulfill. This system often involves examining your birth name's vibrational patterns or energies. Here’s how it works:

  1. Karmic Patterns

    • Certain recurring themes in your life (e.g., abandonment, fear of failure, relationship struggles) may be karmic lessons your soul agreed to work through.

    • Recognizing these patterns allows you to transform them into gifts or wisdom.

  2. Gifts and Talents

    • Your contract also includes innate strengths and abilities that are meant to help you fulfill your purpose.

    • For instance, you might have a gift for healing, communication, or creating beauty.

  3. Challenges as Catalysts

    • Challenges aren’t punishments but opportunities for soul growth. They often point directly to areas where your purpose lies.

    • For example, someone with repeated experiences of oppression may be called to lead with integrity.

  4. Alignment with Purpose and Authenticity

    • When you're off track, life feels stagnant or chaotic; when aligned, synchronicities, joy, and a sense of flow arise naturally.

Here are practical ways to use soul contracts to discover your purpose:

  1. Decode Your Soul Contract:

    • Reflect on patterns in your life. What challenges or gifts show up early in life and/or repeat?

    • Seek guidance from someone skilled in soul contract readings to gain deeper clarity.

  2. Meditate on Your Intuition:

    • Engage in quiet reflection or visualization to connect with your higher self. Ask questions like:

What do I feel deeply called to do? What brings me joy?

What good others see in me?

What lessons keep showing up in my life?

  3. Act on Synchronicities:

Be mindful of signs, dreams, or events that feel meaningful. These are often your soul nudging you toward your path.

May you be on that path of Truth and purpose, joyfully.
